In our investigation, we found this claim to be false. The Mumbai police are investigating the case of Sushant Singh Rajput's death and will soon submit its report.
As far as the viral letter is concerned, on June 15, Bihar's Jan Adhikar Party president Pappu Yadav demanded CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
On July 14, Pappu Yadav tweeted a letter sent to him by Home Minister Amit Shah on his demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. In the letter, Shah acknowledged Yadav’s request for a CBI inquiry into the 34-year-old actor’s suicide case. The letter stated that Yadav's request was received on June 16, 2020. It added that since the CBI falls under DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training), Yadav’s letter is being forwarded to the concerned ministry.
While sharing this letter, Yadav wrote, "Amit Shah ji, if you want, a CBI inquiry can be initiated into Sushant’s case in a minute. Do not avoid it! A letter was sent to the Union Home Minister seeking a CBI inquiry into the suspicious death of film actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the pride of Bihar. He has forwarded the letter to the concerned ministry for action."
In a Times Now article, it was also reported that Amit Shah had responded to Pappu Yadav’s demand for the CBI probe.
In conclusion, the claim that the central government has accepted the demand for a CBI inquiry by Pappu Yadav into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput is false.
